From Alleles to Adorable: "Spudoodle" Creation Day

Our biology students are diving into genetics in the most delightfully spud‑tacular way—by creating “spudoodles”! This annual favorite turns inheritance patterns into hands‑on fun. Students start by randomly selecting alleles to determine each trait’s phenotype, then team up to “cross” their DNA and discover what kind of little spud their pairing will produce.

Kingdom Builders: LEGO Club

We have had so much fun at Kingdom Builders: LEGO Club over the past couple weeks. It has been amazing to see students of varying ages and building abilities come together to create, share, and have fun. Creativity in Motion: Exploring the Physics of Water Flow

Our middle school science class recently turned the classroom into a mini engineering lab as students explored the physics of water flow in the most hands-on way possible—by building their own waterslides! Using paper towel rolls, boxes, and other paper goods, students designed, tested, and tweaked their creations to see how water moves, speeds up, and changes direction.

2025 Varsity Soccer Season Recap

2025 brought some changes to the CCS Lions Varsity soccer team, including a new Head Coach, Bill Smyrnow, and seven new players, including a rookie goalie! Coming off one of the most successful recent campaigns in 2024, at 10-4-1, the Lions picked up where they left off last year, ending with a 9-5 record for 2025.
