In math, our students have been busy using manipulatives to build a strong foundation in multiplication — and seeing how it connects to addition in real, hands-on ways.

At Cornerstone, we know that while academics are essential, growing in social–emotional skills is just as important. In our Friendzy curriculum, students are learning Whole Body Listening — how being great listeners strengthens relationships.

To put it into practice, students paired up for a fun activity where one was the “builder” and the other the “replicator.” With a divider between them, the builder gave clear instructions so the replicator could create the same shape — without ever seeing it!

This hands-on challenge gave our students a playful (and sometimes hilarious!) reminder of how powerful good communication and active listening can be.
