From Classroom to Ocean: The U.S. Navy Teaches Students to Build Underwater Robots
Our students had an incredible experience during our SeaPerch robotic build!
Officer Svestka and Ms. Bourque from the Navy Educational Department spent two days with us guiding students through the engineering and construction process. From measuring and drilling PVC pipes, to assembling frames, soldering circuit boards, stripping and connecting wires, installing motors and propellers, and so much more — students got true hands-on experience every step of the way!
This project challenged students to think critically, work as a team, and apply real-world engineering skills in an exciting and engaging way. We are so grateful for the time, expertise, and encouragement Officer Svestka and Ms. Bourque shared with our students!
