High School Field Trip to the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art!

Our high school art class enjoyed a visit to the famous Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art! Students took part in a guided tour highlighting the work of two artists they have studied in class, Jackson Pollock and Edgar Degas. After the tour, they had to opportunity to spend time free sketching in the museum. A favorite of the day was Marilyn Monroe by Andy Warhol. Our students also enjoyed posing with Mrs. Beatty’s favorite painting in the museum- On The Yacht Namouna, Venice by Julius Leblanc Stewart.
