Cornerstone partners with families, local churches, and Christian organizations to provide a quality Christian education for all of our students.

Partnering with ACSI

Since 1981 Cornerstone has partnered with families in the provision of a Christian education centered on a biblical worldview.

Cornerstone maintains K-12 accreditation by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). ACSI is an internationally recognized accrediting organization. It ensures member schools have undergone careful self-analysis and have met accrediting standards for their educational program. The Connecticut State Department of Education recognizes ACSI as an approved accrediting agency. Cornerstone teachers actively maintain ACSI teacher certification.

Our partnership with ACSI provides us with the ability to join other, like-minded Christian schools for events such as annual spelling bees and math competitions. Additionally, our faculty is able to network with other Christian educators across the country through various professional development opportunities.

Represented Churches

The Cornerstone Christian School is an interdenominational school built upon foundational Christian principles.  Each year a number of churches are represented by our students and staff.

Parent, Teachers,
and Friends Association

The Parent, Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA) of The Cornerstone Christian School exists to foster community spirit among the families of CCS and support the educational goals of the school through the coordination of a variety of activities, prayer and fundraising.

The PTFA motto is Working Together to Make a Difference.  CCS believes that the input and involvement of each parent, teacher and friend of CCS is vitally important to the overall success of the school.  It is always exciting to hear new ideas while working together to enrich the school environment.

Host Church

Although CCS is an interdenominational Christian school, it is the daughter ministry of the Manchester Church of the Nazarene (MCN).  MCN has been committed to providing Christian education to families in this region since 1981.  The school continues to be housed and supported by MCN.  The ongoing partnership between CCS and MCN allows the school to fulfill its mission and vision.

partnering with msa-CESS

In June 2015, Cornerstone gained dual K-12 accreditation with both ACSI and Middle States Association: Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS).
