CCS Hosts the ACSI Spelling Bee

On November 18, Cornerstone once again hosted the ACSI Spelling Bee for our area. Students from five other schools joined us, traveling from around Connecticut, Massachusetts and even Vermont!  Cornerstone was represented by a total of twelve students from Grades 5-8, and each one did a great job!

In Grade 5, Sam's hard work and studying showed as he took first place for his grade level!  In Grade 6, Sandesh took second place for his grade level and 7th place in the overall "Spell-Off." This earned him a spot as the second alternate for the next level of the Spelling Bee!  Megan placed third in the Grade 8 spelling bee and second in the overall "Spell-Off," earning her a chance to compete in Lancaster later this year.

We are proud of all of those who studied hard and represented CCS well!
Grade 5: Ashlynn, Francis, Samuel
Grade 6: Sandesh, Mark, Mason
