School-Home Communication
Communication is the key to success in any program involving partnership.
Online Communication Site
Because we highly value communication between school and home, Cornerstone subscribes to a secured, password protected web portal for communicating with our families. Once enrolled, each family and student is issued a unique username and password to be able to access their account at www.sycamoreeducation.com. Users can send Pass-A-Notes to the teachers, academic progress can be tracked for students in Grades 6-12, daily news updates are available, and more!
Weekly Newsletter
Each Wednesday we publish our weekly newsletter called The Crusader Shield. This newsletter is sent home with the students and is emailed directly to parents.
Classroom Communication
Our elementary and middle school teachers also commit to communicating regularly with families through newsletters and updates to their Sycamore pages online.
Parent, Teachers, and Friends Association
The Parent, Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA) of The Cornerstone Christian School exists to foster community spirit among the families of CCS and support the educational goals of the school through the coordination of a variety of activities, prayer and fundraising. The PTFA also holds a seat on the School Board to share the thoughts and ideas representative of the PTFA in a decision-making capacity.
The PTFA motto is “Working Together to Make a Difference.” CCS believes that the input and involvement of each parent, teacher and friend of CCS is vitally important to the overall success of the school. It is always exciting to hear new ideas while working together to enrich the school environment.
