Discipleship

2011-2012 Theme: Look Out! (for the interests of others)
"Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others." Philippians 2:4
Christian discipleship is of paramount significance to instruction at Cornerstone.
Prayer Warriors
Elementary students in Grades 2-5 are invited to participate in Prayer Warriors after school once a month.
Students who are 10-13 years old will be eligible to participate in KidLead as Cornerstone offers it for the first time during the 2011-2012 school year. "KidLead is not a kids’ program emphasizing leadership, but rather a leadership program targeting leaders when they are most moldable."
Leadership Team
Students in Grades 10-12 are eligible to participate in our Leadership & Development w/ Practicum course to help meet a business elective. Each participant identifies a project of leadership that specializes in the use of his/her spiritual gifts, talents, and interests.
Middle School Covenant Groups
Students from our high school leadership program work with the leadership team to provide our middle school students with gender-specific peer groups designed to develop discipleship skills.
Flocks
Our high school students are invited to participate in "flocks." This is a time when students meet in groups to pray with one another and to hold one another to accountable in their journeys as disciples of Christ.
